Box ​

Buxus sempervirens can be evergreen shrubs or small trees, with simple, leathery, opposite leaves and clusters of small, pale yellow flowers followed by pale green to brown fruits.

Box hedges are a great way to keep structure and shape in the garden all year round. They are ideal for flanking an entrance, marking the corners of a hedge, or in terracotta pots on the patio.

Plant in well-drained soil in partial shade. Avoid scorch by sun and strong winds. Plants can be cut back hard when young to encourage bushy growth. Keep plants to the desired size by pruning back long shoots.
